Cast & Crew:

Director: Ramesh Varma
Cast: Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajiv Kanakala
Music: Ghibran
Cinematography: Venkat Dilip Chunduru
Editing: Amar Reddy
Produced By: Koneru Satyanarayana under

Story:

Arun(Bellamkonda Srinivas) is a sales executive who lands his dad’s position as a cop. During that time, youth girls in the city continue getting abducted consistently. The case comes to Arun and his group. However, the story lits up when Arun’s niece gets kidnapped. The story is regarding how Arun solve the cases and save the girls.

Analysis:

Bellamkonda Srinivas finally tries something new and he did some wonderful performances without much mass action. He takes up a substance driven content where he needs to play a repressed cop and not like his past overwhelming characters. It is seemingly the best character till now and Srinivas has given indications of an entertainer who is gradually developing. He did well in passionate scenes and at the same time, he did well to show his acting abilities. Anupama has done her job pretty well. The young lady who played Anupama’s niece is adorable. Rajiv Kanakala got a big role to perform after a long time and he has done the justification for his role.

Technical Performances:

Ghibran’s experience in background score adds value to the film and lifts the climax scene to another level. The camerawork is awesome which made the movie look great.

Coming to the director Ramesh Varma, he has completed a nice job with the film and make a good tollywood debut. He didn’t test much and include pointless scenes or battles for Bellamkonda srinivas which is noteworthy. He holds the nerves of the audience by giving interesting twists at the climax.

Positives :

Srinivas Performance
Screenplay
Music
Background Score

Negatives :

No Entertainment
Extended climax

Verdict :

Impressive Thriller

Manmadhudu 2 Movie Review & Rating:

Cast – Nagarjuna, Rakul Preeth Singh, Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh, Vennela Kishore
Director – Rahul Ravindran
Producer – Nagarjuna, Kiran
Banner – Manam Entertainments, Anandi Arts
Music – Chaitan Bharadwaj

99Telugu.com  Rating: 2.5/5

Akkineni Nagarjuna latest movie Manmadhudu 2 is released, Nagarjuna played a middle-aged bachelor who prefers one night stands than marriage. Let’s move into the details.

Story :

Sam alias Sambasiva Rao ( Nagarjuna ) is a Casanova who lives in Portugal along with his PA Kishore ( Vennela Kishore). His family pushes him to get married as he already past his marriage age. To get away from marriage proposal, he requests and contracts Ms Avantika a waitress ( Rakul Preet) to pretend as his lover for two weeks and rest situations is the main plot.

The Manmadhudu-2 story is completely different from “Manmadhudu.” The story has the backdrop of a city called ‘Cassandra’ located in Portugal. This film’s storyline look’s like 90’s movies which are outdated. Vennela Kishore’s comedy is the only saviour of the film which worked in the first half. The movie rides on Vennela Kishore and he gets more screentime than the Hero. Hero Sam, Heroine Avantika roles have been written with no real strength to their characterizations. Looks-wise Nagarjuna is very good in this film. Rakul Preet Singh looked good. The double meaning dialogues are too much to take and will be an uneasy to watch with family. Vennela Kishore as Kishore is hilarious for the majority part of the film. Rao Ramesh excels as an uncle of Sam. Manmadhudu is an iconic movie to watch even today with Trivikram’s trademark punch dialogues and the timing. Manmadhudu-2 fails big in that aspect, especially in the second half.

Positives:

Nagarjuna’s looks

Vennela Kishore Comedy

production values

Negatives:

Poor direction

Story with no nativity

Adult comedy

Songs

Verdict: A Bad Sequel

Manmadhudu-2 is an attempt to make a new generation adult comedy film. Nagarjuna chose a bad story that is not up to his stature.
