Sarfaraz Ahmed Yawning:

Yesterday in the ongoing World Cup match between India and Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed got trolled heavily by the netizens.

After rain interrupted the game later after the break and comeback Sarfaraz was seen yawning behind the stumps and that caught the eye of netizens. While some trolled him saying that his enthusiasm is like that, some commented that India fed him so much of grass that he got a yawn. And there are lots of memes generated with his yawn image.

Since 1992 that Pak is not able to win against India in a World Cup contest, India scored a huge total for 335, with Rohit Sharma’s 140, Pakistan never looked like control over the match. Sarfaraz’s yawning happened after the 45-minute rain interrupted break, Netizens say that maybe he has eaten too much of biryani or took something heavy for lunch.

ICC Suspended Zimbabwe Cricket

ICC (International Cricket Council) on Thursday suspended Zimbabwe over a failure to keep the sport free from government interference, putting in doubt for their participation in qualifiers for the World T20.

ICC funding to Zimbabwe Cricket will be frozen and representative teams from the country will not be allowed to participate in any ICC events.

“The ICC has directed that the elected Zimbabwe Cricket Board be reinstated to the office within three months, and progress in this respect will be considered again at the October board meeting,” the ICC said in a statement.

“The ICC board heard from both the Sports and Recreation Committee representatives of the Zimbabwe government and Zimbabwe Cricket before making their decision.”

“We do not take the decision to suspend a member lightly but we must keep our sport free from political interference,” said ICC chairman Shashank Manohar.

“What has happened in Zimbabwe is a serious breach of the ICC constitution and we cannot allow it to continue unchecked.

“The ICC wants cricket to continue in Zimbabwe in accordance with the ICC constitution.”

The move puts Zimbabwe’s participation in October’s men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in the doldrums.
