Top Ten Telugu Freedom Fighters:

Alluri Sitarama Raju –Revolutionary Freedom fighter.

Alluri Sitarama Raju was born on 7 May 1924 he is an Indian revolutionary involved in the Indian independence movement. He was called as “Manyam Veerudu” by the local tribal people. Raju was eventually trapped by the British in the forests of Chintapalle. He was tied to a tree and executed by gunfire in Koyyuru village. Revolutionary, freedom fighter, Sitarama Raju led the Rampa Rebellion of 1922-1924.

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy – Freedom Fighter, An Early Opponent Of British Rule.

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy died on 22 February 1847 a son of an Indian former Polygar. He was at the heart of a rebellion against the British East India Company (EIC) in 1846. He formed 5000 peasants against British rule against the land rules. Reddy was convicted and in his case received the death penalty. On 22 February 1847, he was executed in Koilkuntla in front of a silent crowd of over 2000 people.

British kept his head on the fort wall in public view until 1877.

Vedre Ramachandra Reddy Bhoodhan – Social Reformer, Satyagraha Movement Leader.

Vedire Ramachandra Reddy was, in 1951, the first landlord to donate land to the poor as part of the Bhoodan movement in Andhra Pradesh, India. Reddy, a social worker, received the title Bhoodan because of his role in starting the land donation movement of the early 1950s in Andhra Pradesh at a village called Pochampally in the Nalgonda district.

Gottipati Brahmaiah – Freedom Fighter.

Gottipati Brahmayya (3 December 1889–1984) was a freedom fighter, popularly known as Ryotu Pedda (Leader of Farmers). He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1982. Born in Ghantasala (Divi Taluka of Krishna district) in Andhra Pradesh. Brahmaiah was one of the pioneers of the Zamindari Ryot Movement. He participated in the boycott of the Simon Commission in 1927. He was sentenced to imprisonment for one year and six months in 1930 for participating in the black flag demonstration against the then Governor’s visit to Machilipatnam.

Gouthu Latchanna – Freedom Fighter.

Dr. Gouthu Latchanna was born in Baruva village of the Sompeta Mandal, Srikakulam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh on 16 August 1909. He participated in swaraj movement right from age of 21 with Salt Satyagraha at Palasa and subsequently was arrested in connection with the salt-cotaurs raid at Naupada in April 1930. As an undertrial, he was sent to Tekkali and Narasannapeta sub-jails in Srikakulam. After conviction, he was sent to Berhampur jail in Ganjam to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one month. After the Gandhi–Irwin Pact in 1931, he organized Satyagraha camp at Baruva and conducted picketing of toddy, liquor, and foreign cloth shops in Ichchapuram, Sompeta, and Tekkali.

Puchalapalli Sundaraiah – Freedom Fighter And Founding Member Of Communist Party In India.

Puchalapalli Sundarayya was a founding member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and a leader of the peasant revolt in the former Hyderabad State of India, called the Telangana Rebellion. At the age of 17, he joined Gandhi’s Non-Cooperation Movement. He was arrested and spent time in a Borstal school in Rajahmundry. He is popularly known as Comrade PS. Sundarayya was born on 1 May 1913 in Alaganipadu (in the present Vidavalur Mandal of Kovur Constituency) in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

Tanguturi Prakasam – Freedom Fighter Known As “Andhra Kesari.”

Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu was an Indian politician and freedom fighter, chief minister of the Madras Presidency, and subsequently became the first chief minister of the new Andhra state, created by the partition of Madras State. He was also known as Andhra Kesari (Lion of Andhra). He was born to Telugu Niyogi Brahmin family of Subbamma and Gopala Krishnayya in the village of Vinodarayunipalem, 26 km from Ongole.

Vavilala Gopalakrishnaya – Freedom fighter.

Vavilala Gopala Krishna was a freedom fighter and a legislator in the 1950s and 1960s and religiously followed the Gandhian philosophy. He was called as “Andhra Gandhi.” Born in 1906 at Sattenapalle in Guntur District of Andhra, he started his career as a journalist but became involved in the freedom struggle. After Independence, he was elected to the assembly of the Madras Presidency in 1952, the Andhra State assembly in 1955, and the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1962 and 1967 from Sattenapalli.

Kaneganti Hanumanthu – Freedom Fighter.

Kaneganti Hanumanthu was a freedom fighter who rebelled against British Rule and spearheaded the Palnadu Rebellion against tax. He was executed by the British General Rutherford.[citation needed] He was born in Minchalapadu in the Durgi Mandal which is in Palnadu in Guntur district. A local peasant leader, he refused to pay British taxes and participated in a revolt over the issue. He was killed while resisting British police forces at the age of 30.

The following rebellion cry is attributed to Hanumanthu:

“Neeru pettava, Natu vesava Kota kosava, Kuppa nurchava Endhuku kattali ra sisthu?”

Pingali Venkayya – Freedom Fighter Who Designed The Indian National Flag.

Pingali Venkayya (2 August 1876 – 4 July 1963) was an Indian freedom fighter and the designer of the flag on which the Indian national flag was based. He was born at Bhatlapenumarru, near Machilipatnam. Various national flags had been used by members of the Indian independence movement prior to independence being achieved in 1947. Venkayya’s version was first designed for the Indian National Congress and subsequently modified in 1947. He, however, died in poverty in 1963 and was largely forgotten by the society and by his own Congress party.

Former Cheif Minister, TDP Supremo Chandrababu visited Krishna flood-affected areas. Naidu consoled the people of Geetanagar, Bhupesh Gupta Nagar and Tarakarama Nagar in the Vijayawada East constituency along with local MLA Gadde Ramamohan and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani. Opposition leader along with party workers covered all the flood-affected areas and interacted with the local families and felt very sad about their problems due to the floods.

Chandrababu Naidu is likely to speak to the media about the hardships of the affected families and failure of the present government in taking necessary precautions regarding floods. Earlier, Telugu Desam Party leaders greeted Chandrababu at Gannavaram airport

Chandrayaan2 entered Lunar Orbit

Chandrayaan2 Entered Lunar Orbit

Chandrayaan2 entered Lunar Orbit successfully in this morning. Lunar Orbit is also called as Moons Orbit and now Chandrayan2 is going towards the moon. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has officially tweeted about its achievement.


 

Lander Vikram will soft-land Chandrayaan2 on Moon on September 7, 2019. It would take another two weeks time from now. This is the key phase of entering Lunar Orbit said to be the crucial stage in which Chandrayaan2 successfully entered and it is out of Earth’s gravitational force and will enter into Moon’s gravity.

If Chandrayaan2 lands on the Moon, India is the fourth country to achieve this feat along with the US, Russia, and China. 

Scientific goals of Chandrayaan2 include studies of lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, the lunar exosphere, and signatures of hydroxyl and water ice.

Arrest Warrant Against KA Paul

Popular Evangelist, founder of Praja Shanti Party KA Paul is not in limelight nowadays, he became center of attraction during the 2019 general election in Andhra Pradesh. Currently, Mahbubnagar court issued Non-Bailable Warrant against KA Paul because he is not attending for court appearances in connection with his brother David Raju’s murder case. Paul is one of the accused persons in his brother’s murder case.

Paul’s press meets became a highlight in 2019 elections his videos are gone viral those days. KA Paul contested in Lok Sabha elections on behalf of his Praja Shanti Party while his nomination was rejected for Bhimavaram Assembly because he was not in time to file the nomination. As we all know he was defeated in the hands of  YSRCP candidate Raghurama Krishnam Raju from Narsapuram Lok Sabha.

KA Paul is not available to media since YCP came into power, fans of his comic jokes, funny videos are missing him badly.
